After the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina established the domestic instant payment system, which was the most significant step forward in modernizing the payment infrastructure in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the last 25 years, Intesa Sanpaolo Banka, a member of the Intesa Sanpaolo Group, proudly points out that it has provided its clients, legal and natural persons, with the ability to distribute their transactions through this system in just a few seconds 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, throughout the year.

“By establishing and putting into operation the domestic instant payment system, Bosnia and Herzegovina is getting a modern payment infrastructure that is harmonized with European standards and ready for the future development of digital financial services. The Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina has established a safe, reliable and modern payment system. This is not only a technological improvement, but an investment in a more efficient economy, a more competitive financial sector and better services for citizens and the economy of Bosnia and Herzegovina,” said the Governor of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Jasmina Selimović.

Instant payments bring numerous benefits to citizens, the economy, banks and the overall economy of Bosnia and Herzegovina. They enable citizens to have funds available immediately. They bring faster inflow of funds, more efficient cash flow management and better liquidity to the economy. They provide banks with a modern infrastructure for the development of new digital services and the improvement of the user experience.

“Proud that Intesa Sanpaolo Banka, in close cooperation with the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina, is one of the pioneer banks in Bosnia and Herzegovina that introduces instant payment for its clients. This achievement once again shows our significant dedication to innovation, and determination to provide concrete value by continuously improving the banking experience,” said Michele Castoro, President of the Management Board of Intesa Sanpaolo Banka.

“We remain fully committed to investing in digital transformation and developing solutions that meet the trend of developing the needs of both citizens and the economy. I believe that instant payments will change the way citizens and the economy perform daily financial transactions. Faster money flow means greater flexibility, better liquidity and greater convenience in managing finances,” added Castoro.
