Investigative teams of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tuzla Canton, by order and under the supervision of the Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office of the Tuzla Canton, are conducting extensive operational and investigative activities related to the events before, during and after the triple murder and attempted murder of three people in Gradačac on Friday, August 11.
The TC Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office stated that other police agencies were also involved in certain checks.
“Police investigators are carrying out detailed investigations and are working on documenting different segments in connection with the mentioned events, and individual reports and accompanying material evidence have not yet been submitted to the Prosecutor’s Office,” they stated.
They added that until the report and material evidence, their analysis and the adoption of the prosecutor’s decision, the Prosecutor’s Office is not able and cannot present to the public any details and information about each individual check and investigative action that is being carried out.
In particular, they pointed out, they do not want to respond to various unverified information and sensationalist publications of certain media and to inquiries related to such publications that cause immeasurable damage to society as a whole and to the further course of the investigation itself.
Today, a meeting of the operational investigation group of prosecutors and authorized officials of law enforcement agencies will be held and further guidelines will be agreed upon in elucidating all the circumstances that preceded and relate to the mentioned events.
Also, a meeting will be held today between the Office of the Chief Prosecutor and the management of the Police Administration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, where the actions of the institutions in connection with the reported crime of domestic violence will be evaluated and analyzed in relation to the specific case, as well as other cases of domestic violence and other forms of violent behavior.
Formed a case on the actions of the judge of the Municipal Court in Gradačac
In the meantime, the Office of the Disciplinary Prosecutor of the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina (HJSC) formed a case based on articles published in the media about the actions of the judge of the Municipal Court in Gradačac.
In the announcement, it was pointed out that the Office of the Disciplinary Prosecutor of the Supreme Court of Justice will investigate the relevant facts of the case, in order to examine allegations of violation of the official duty of the judge in the decision-making process.
Information has appeared in the public that the judge of the Municipal Court in Gradačac, Lejla Numanović, rejected the proposal of the Gradačac Police Department to impose a restraining order on Nermin Sulejmanović, who was killed by Nizami Hećimović on Friday, August 11.
