Hotel Sarajevo Expansion akta.baIn several days, works on the expansion of capacities of the Hotel Sarajevo in the Municipality of Novi Grad Sarajevo should begin, which will enrich hotel-touristic offer in Novi Grad and Sarajevo.

On this occasion, on the Statehood Day of B&H, presentation of the project worth around 17 million BAM and official signing of the contract on execution of works on the facility were organized at the premises of the hotel.

Presentation was attended by the Mayor of Novi Grad Sarajevo Municipality Semir Efendić, representatives of investors, Hotel Sarajevo and Company Priming, the contractor – the Sarajevo Company ANS Drive, and guests. The contract was signed by Lejla Šalaka, director executive of the Company Proming and Asmir Dževlan, director of Company ANS Drive.

Since the beginning of operations in 2008, Hotel Sarajevo has been recording steady growth in business operations; thereby the need for increasing the capacities of the hotel emerged. Construction of an annex to the hotel, with 15 floors and 98 rooms in total, is planned. Besides expansion of accommodation and conference capacities, also planned is the construction of diagnostic center, which is a totally new concept of hotel services offers in Novi Grad and the capital of B&H.

Mayor Efendić said that the increase in number of tourists in Sarajevo and B&H is evident, but that our touristic-hotel capacities do not follow the interest of foreign tourists who come to B&H.

“The value of investment amounts to around 17 million BAM and the deadline for completion of works is December 2016. New employments are also planned. We owe gratitude to the Novi Grad Municipality which recognized the significance of this project and offered us maximum administrative support and issued a construction permit so that the works can start in the coming seven to ten days,” said Šalaka.

Contractor is the domestic Company ANS Drive, which has proven to be successful in the construction of the existing hotel, but also in the construction of SCC, BBI Center, and other imposing facilities in Sarajevo and broader.
