Iranian missiles hit Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion Airport, Iran’s state-run Tasnim news agency reported.

Iranian media earlier reported that the Revolutionary Guards had launched a new missile strike on targets in Israel.

Reports said the Israeli strike hit the Iranian Foreign Ministry building in Tehran and injured several civilians.

Iran launched at least 50 ballistic missiles at targets in Israel tonight, the Tasnim news agency reported.

The Iranian agency said the missiles were fired at Israel in retaliation for the country’s attacks on a number of residential areas in Tehran, as well as military and nuclear facilities in other parts of Iran, in an operation that began in the early hours of June 13.

Israel has been sounding sirens and urging citizens to take shelter after the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) identified missiles fired from Iran, the Times of Israel reports.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said on Tuesday that they had detected a series of ballistic missiles launched from Iran towards Israel, prompting sirens to sound across Israel.

Israeli air defenses are expected to launch strikes in the coming minutes, and civilians in central Israel have been ordered to stay in shelters until further notice.

Explosions from air defense systems were heard in Tel Aviv and central Israel after the missiles were launched from Iran, a RIA Novosti correspondent reports.

A new wave of Iranian missiles hit targets in the Israeli cities of Haifa and Tel Aviv, Iran’s state news agency IRNA reports.

At the same time, two missiles hit buildings in central Tehran, causing explosions, Reuters reported, citing the Tasnim news agency.

Photos published by news agencies showed smoke rising over southern Tehran from yesterday’s attack on an oil refinery.
