Member of Iran’s Expediency Discernment Council, Mohammad Sadr, accused Russia of betrayal for disclosing information about Iranian air defense systems.
According to Sadr’s words, the 12-day war between Iran and Israel showed how the strategic alliance with Russia is actually worthless. He added that the death of former Iranian president Ebrahim Raisi was an assassination behind which stand Israeli intelligence services.
Russian President Vladimir Putin and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian signed on January 17th in the Russian capital Moscow an agreement on a strategic partnership between the two countries.
Also, Russian President Vladimir Putin said for Russian media that the Iranians independently decided that the strategic alliance of Iran and Russia does not extend to defense guarantees.
During the attacks of Israeli aviation, numerous and different air defense systems of the Iranian army did not succeed in shooting down any of the enemy aircraft.
In that regard, the key task of Israeli commandos was to destroy early warning radars, which the Israelis on the ground carried out with great success.
