At least eight people were killed in an Israeli attack on a historic Greek Orthodox church where displaced civilians took refuge in the Gaza Strip.

According to the news of the official Palestinian agency WAFA, a minor girl was killed in an Israeli attack on the Greek Orthodox Church of Saint Porphyry, in the Az-Zeytun district, in the south of Gaza City.
The attack caused serious damage to the historic church, and a building near the church was also destroyed.
The Greek Orthodox Church of Saint Porphyry, affiliated with the Anglican Church in Al-Quds, is approximately 250 meters from the al-Ahli Baptist Hospital, which Israel bombed on October 17, killing hundreds of people.
It is known that about 1,000 Christians live in the area attacked by Israel, and those whose houses were destroyed took refuge in the church and its buildings for protection, AA reports.
