The Israeli army announced the preliminary results of the investigation into the killing of six hostages in the Gaza Strip, and revealed details of what the captives faced before they were killed by members of Hamas.

The spokesman of the Israeli army, Daniel Hagari, informed the family members of the hostages about the details of the investigation and talked about the conditions in which they were kept.

As he stated, the Israeli army believes they were killed ten days ago, just a day or two before the IDF reached the tunnel.

“It is estimated that several of the hostages fought with those Hamas members who shot at them. Forensic findings show that the four hostages were defending Eden and Carmel, two women captured by Hamas,” it said.

According to the investigation, the six hostages were held in a small and very narrow tunnel. There were no ventilation openings, and the hostages were breathing hard.

“There were no toilets or showers in the tunnel. The hostages washed themselves with water from the bottles they drank from. Protein bars were also found in the tunnel, but they had very little food. One of the hostages weighed only 36 kilograms,” they explained.

Family members of one of the hostages emphasized to the Israeli Channel 12 that they did everything to survive in impossible circumstances.

“Our only request was for the government to save them, but they failed,” they said.

Let us remind you that the IDF found the bodies of six hostages in the night from August 31 to September 1. The initial autopsy showed that they were shot with several bullets at close range.

“The members of Hamas killed them in cold blood. They riddled them with bullets. They shot them in the back of the head,” Netanyahu said, Klix.ba writes.
