Israel targets Cities in southern Lebanon after an Attack on the Golan Heights

The Israeli army bombed villages and towns in Lebanon, a day after accusing Hezbollah of an attack in Majdal Shams, in the occupied Golan Heights, the National News Agency reported.

Warplanes launched successive attacks on the suburbs of the towns of Aabasiyeh, Tayr Debba and Toura in Tire District.

Fighter jets also targeted Burj el-Shemali and Tayr Harf, causing casualties and damage to property and infrastructure.

Israeli authorities said at least 12 people were killed and 35 injured in a rocket attack on the Druze town of Majdal Shams in the northern Golan Heights.

The Israeli military blamed Hezbollah for the attack, but the Lebanese group denied responsibility for the attack.

Tensions have risen along Lebanon’s border with Israel amid cross-border attacks between Hezbollah and Israeli forces as Tel Aviv presses ahead with its deadly offensive on the Gaza Strip, which has killed nearly 39,300 people since last October following a Hamas attack.
