600_1475828413img_8228In the past 48 hours, the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, the Task Force for fight against terrorism, State Investigation and Protection Agency and the Border Police of BiH implemented several investigatory activities and raids on the basis of a TV report by a certain Italian journalist who spoke about alleged purchase of illegal weapons for ISIS in BiH.

Operational activities identified the persons who appear on the record and it was defined that they are not weapon traffickers, but people who were paid by the Italian journalist for the needs of the report, to act in a directed TV scene. People who appeared in the video are people of difficult material condition and registered drug addicts, who confessed to the entire event and described all details during the interrogation.

The investigation also determined and identified the weapons from the record that were found in BiH. Activities are being implemented with the aim of finding the remaining weaponry left from the past war and which was a part of these activities.

Given that the mentioned report caused damage for the reputation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in terms of fight against terrorism, relevant authorities of the Republic of Italy were informed about everything, with the aim of ensuring the implementation of further activities, stated the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH.

Task Force for fight against terrorism continues implementing intense activities on detecting and processing all activities that might be brought into connection with terrorism.
