He emphasized the importance of cooperation between countries in the region, expressed his satisfaction with Turkey, the partner country of the fair, and also emphasized recovery of our country and reminded on the path of BiH towards the European Union.

“It is my great pleasure to be here. Mostar was always a city of businessmen and city of meetings. I’m glad that Mostar brings people together, the exhibitors, and that the interest and importance of this event is increasing every year. These events are very important because they are sending positive message. I am especially pleased that this year’s partner country is Turkey. Cooperation with Turkey is rising, and there is a will and desire to deepen mutual relations,” said Izetbegovic.

He added that there are many areas in which cooperation between BiH and Turkey can develop, and tourism and economy are on the first place.

“Herzegovina, with a little effort, can lead in the sector of tourism, and tourist offer will be complemented by the hotel Ruza (Rose), which will be opened soon, and it will be available for guests from Turkey,” said Chairman of the Presidency of BiH.

Izetbegovic reminded that BiH submitted an application for EU membership, and that this path will make many opportunities for our citizens.

“I remember when I spoke at the fair 2 years ago. That year the situation was much worse, but we overcame all the difficulties. We have reason for optimism. BiH is focused on cooperation with the countries in the region. It is good that we are ready to help each other,” concluded Izetbegovic.
