President of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) Bakir Izetbegovic met with the US Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina Eric Nelson.

Talking about the current political situation, the interlocutors stated that it is necessary to intensify activities on the implementation of reforms on the EU and NATO path of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Izetbegović emphasized that it is necessary to form a new convocation of the Government of the Federation of BiH, based on the democratically expressed will of the citizens, and to ensure the rule of law through the appointment of missing judges at the FBiH Constitutional Court. They emphasized that it is necessary to continue talks with the aim of implementing the judgments of the European Court of Human Rights and the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Ambassador Nelson stressed the need to avoid the rhetoric of divisions in order to improve public confidence.

The officials agreed that after the elections, the relevant political parties should speed up the talks on establishing the government in Mostar, the SDA party said in the press release.
