Jahorina Economic Forum begins, more than 600 Participants expected

The Jahorina Economic Forum, titled “Western Balkans 2030: Integration, Innovation, Sustainable Growth”, will be held from today until May 13, and is expected to attract more than 600 participants from 15 countries.

A ceremony is planned for tomorrow, at which the Forum will be officially opened by the President of the Economic Forum, Goran Račić, the Prime Minister of Serbia, Đuro Macut, and the Director General of the Belgrade Institute of Economics, Dragan Šagovnović.

After the opening, the central panel on the topic “The Position of the Region in the Future Geostrategic Order” will begin.

On the same day, a motivational lecture will be held, as well as panels on the topics “Banks 2030 – Transformation of Industry for the Intelligent Age”, “Excise and Customs in the Region: Between Fiscal Policy and Competitiveness of the Economy”, “Regional Energy in the Shadow of Geopolitical Events” and “Regional Economy through the Eyes of Foreign Investors or Large Regional Companies”.

Participants in these panels will include, among others, the Minister of Finance and Treasury of Bosnia and Herzegovina Srđan Amidžić, the Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina Staša Košarac, the General Director of “Sarajevo-gas” from East Sarajevo Nedeljko Elek, and the Acting Director of “Autoputi Republika Srpska” Radovan Višković.

For Wednesday, May 13, panels on the topics “Cycling Tourism: From Heritage to Sustainable Tourism Growth” and “Borders Without Barriers: A Vision for a Connected Region” are planned.
