The Ministry of Education of the Sarajevo Canton announced that they hosted students from the Tokyo school Kaichi Nihonbashi Gakulen (KNG) today as part of the Miralba project, which they stated is being implemented for the second year in a row with students from the Third Gymnasium in Sarajevo.
The goal of this project was to strengthen mutual understanding of the cultures and historical contexts of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Japan, and to promote education as a bridge between nations.
“These young people have shown how education and dialogue create the foundations for a better and more connected world. We are proud that our canton supports such international projects that encourage togetherness and mutual respect. The Ministry will continue with initiatives that empower young generations to be ambassadors of peace and cooperation,” said the relevant minister Naida Hota-Muminović.
As the Ministry announced, exchanges like these provide young people with opportunities to learn firsthand about different perspectives, expand their knowledge, and develop the skills needed for global networking. They consider it especially valuable that such programs, as they assessed, not only encourage academic development, but also promote the universal values of tolerance and respect for differences.
They pointed out that projects like this allow students to broaden their horizons, develop lasting friendships and contribute to better understanding between nations.
The Ministry of Education of Sarajevo Canton expressed their satisfaction at being part of this significant initiative and called for the continuation of such activities that connect young people through education and joint projects.
