Junior (U-19) football representation of B&H gathered today in Sarajevo before their departure to Bulgaria, where they will play two control matches with the representation of this country on the 15th and 17th of February.

Young B&H football players will play against the Bulgarian team within their preparations for the participation at the tournament of the elite round of qualifications of group 1, which will be held from the 5th till the 10th of June in Austria.

The coordinator of this representation of B&H Murat Jaha reported to Fena Agency that the selector of the U-19 representation of B&H Toni Karačić invited 26 football players to participate in the control matches in Bulgaria, but he also said that due to some various sets of circumstances only 19 of them will play in Bulgaria.

” Some of the invited players could not respond to our invitation because the date of the match with the Bulgarian team is not the official UEFA date for friendly matches, and few of them are also injured. Furthermore, we will continue with the trend of inviting young players into the B&H junior representation, so soon we will have the opportunity to see several new names on our team.”- said Jaha.

At the qualifications tournament in Austria, B&H will play against the national teams from France, Sweden and Austria. The winner of this group will qualify for the final tournament which will be played from the 20th June till the 1st of August in Lithuania.
