12825432_1738369936399683_735725689_nThe City Library of Kakanj and the Bosnian Royal University Kakanj in the establishment, signed an agreement on cooperation. The Management Board of the City Library gave its consent to this agreement, which was signed by the director of the Library Senad N. Cisija, and the acting rector of the Bosnian Royal University Kakanj in the establishment, Prof. Dr. Mirsad Kulovic.

Essence of the agreement is the mutual providing of services, which under the same conditions allow future students of the Royal University of Bosnian Kakanj and members of the City Library Kakanj to use book fund that will be available to both institutions.

University is working on establishing of their book fund and they currently have about 1000 library units on the shelves of their library. On the other side, the City Library has over 50,000 books, so it is assumed that the City Library will help students a lot.

“We are putting the entire library fund on disposal of prospective students and professors. This will be done in accordance with the existing legal regulations and internal rules. Thus, students of the Bosnian Royal University will be able to use our services under the same conditions as students of Sarajevo and Zenica University. This is an opportunity to open the other forms of cooperation between the Library and the University as well. This way, we will enrich our own fund because we will be able to refer our customers to the university library units,” said Senad N. Cisija.

Acting rector of the Bosnian Royal University Kakanj in the establishment, Prof. Dr. Mirsad Kulovic emphasized that the University started with the establishment of its own library units, but that this agreement is necessary in order to expand the pool of available literature. It is expected that university will get all the necessary permissions in a month or two.

“Bosnian Royal University in the establishment is doing activities on the establishment for more than a year. One of the conditions to get started with the work was the existence of library. We formed a library at the University, started to equip it with the library units, and today have signed this agreement in order to expand the fund of literature that will be available to our students here, but also to the citizens of Kakanj. I hope that we will get all necessary permits in a month or two, so that we can plan to start the school year in October on four faculties. These are: economic, environmental, traffic and the faculty of IT, “said the rector of the university.

Bosnian Royal University Kakanj is located in the former Motel “Sretno”, later Hotel Premium.
