Kemal Mešić is Only B&H Representative at World Championship in Sopot

At the upcoming World Indoor Athletics Championships, which will be held from 7 to 9 March in Sopot, Poland, shot putter Kemal Mešić will be the only B&H representative who will defend the B&H colors.

The 29 year old member of the athletic club Sarajevo will compete with the standard he achieved last year-20.37 m.

He opened a successful season last week with a win at the international athletic meeting in Virginia, where he won first place with a result of 20.02 m.

The qualifications for the shot put are scheduled for Friday, 7 March, and the final of the program is on the same day in the afternoon.

The best B&H athlete Hamza Alić, who won a silver medal last year at the European Indoor Championships in Gothenburg, Sweden, will miss the competition in Sopot, after deciding that focus on preparations for the European Championship in Zurich from 12 to 17 August.
