The Department of Performing Arts at Gymnasium ”Dobrinja” has been active for four years now.  High school graduate, Kenan Muslić has finished the project of shooting his first feature film entitled ” City lights” for which he also wrote the scenario. His previous success with two short films that were presented on festivals in France, Serbia and B&H witness the seriousness and professionalism of this Department. His first feature film follows the story of a boy with big expectations, who moves from a little town to the big city. Soon he experiences the charms of a big city, when society that surrounds him starts exploiting and abusing him.  An encounter with an older boy brings a lot of change in his life. He manages to pull him out from his current problems with his peers, but drags him into a real life drama. The boy is left to find his own way out of it. The premiere of this film is organized by the Obala Art Center with their associate branches, namely the ”Operation Cinema” and SFF (Sarajevo Film Festival). The ceremony of the premiere will be held on the 21st of February at the Obala Art Center in Sarajevo, at 21:00 p.m. After this premiere, the film will be screened at ”Meeting Point” Cinema on the 22nd and 23rd of February, after which it will starts its cinema distribution around B&H. Negotiations concerning the screening  of this film in Zagreb are also in progress. This film will also be presented to the festival audience in Serbia, Croatia, France, Turkey, Albania and Macedonia.

” Concerning the fact that the film happened very spontaneously, I am more than satisfied with the outcome. To be honest, we broke all deadlines and all planned activities, but we are improving and this is going towards the finale, towards the big premiere. It was my honor to work with the people I had in my team. The premiere of the film is in a few days, and I cannot wait to show everyone what we have done, but on the other side I’m not happy about it because I cannot make peace with the fact that all this chaos around the film will stop, and I just god used to it.  I am very satisfied with the production and on this occasion I want to thank my production team together with Edin Ličina as its leader.”- said Kenan.
