On the website of the Employment Service of Herzegovina-Neretva Canton (HNC) Mostar, an advertisement of the Kindergarten “MASA i PRIJATELJI” was published, in which applicants are required to have “Croatian citizenship”. The owner of this kindergarten said that it was a mistake “during the preparation of the ad”.
“The Administrative Council of the Masa Kindergarten is looking for a fixed-term position to fill a position: a completed undergraduate university study or a professional study for a preschool teacher, or a study for a teacher with a higher professional qualification in accordance with the previous regulations (preschool educator – preschool teacher ), i.e. completed graduate university study or specialist study for an educator, legal age, CROATIAN CITIZENSHIP, health capacity to perform the duties of the position to which the person is accepted”, the ad states, among other things.
A reaction quickly followed from this Mostar kindergarten, more precisely the owner and director, Jasna Coric, commented on the case.
She stressed that the mistake of asking for Croatian citizenship occurred when downloading an ad from the Internet.
“I searched the internet for what the ad looked like, found it, downloaded and published it. A mistake happened, I didn’t review well. All nations work in our kindergarten. We also have Bosniaks, Orthodox, we are a small Yugoslavia. Ajla, Anita, Katarina are our employees. Tomorrow I will withdraw it, correct it and publish another ad,” said Coric yesterday, N1 reports.
