The Kindergarten “Sunčani Most” Wins Award for Intercultural Achievement

Sunčani mostMostar – the multi-ethnic inclusive kindergarten “Sunčani most” (“Sunny bridge”) won the first prize for the intercultural achievement assigned by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Austria.

There were more than 70 competitors from around the world and Sunčani most was proclaimed for the best project.

“This unique kindergarten is promoting coexistence among children of different nationalities and religious confessions for the past 12 years. It also includes children with difficulties into its regular program.” – was announced from the kindergarten Sunčani most.

The ceremony of award assignment was held in Vienna on September 3rd and the prize is worth 10 000 Euros.

The second prize went to the project “China Women’s Film Festival”, Peking, PRC – 7 000 Euros while the third prize was assigned to the project “Girls Education Equity Project”, Nairobi, Kenia – 5 000 Euros.
