Banja Luka – Traditional cultural event, gathering “Kočićev zbor”, starts on Sunday, 11th August, in Stričić, a village where was born a great writer and there will be declared winners of Kočić awards and “Zmijanjče” awards, was announced today by a member of the Organizing Committee of the choir Luka Kecman.
Kecman said that on the same day will be opened even cultural gathering “Zmijanje – 2013” and will perform guests writers Berislav Berić and Boro Kapetanović.
“More than a hundred artists from the RS and regions and seven days of rich program, will make this year’s 48 gathering “one of the richest until now”, said Kecman to the reporters.
He added that this event has an international character, as well as the work of Peter Kočić has an international format.
“The Government of the RS for this year’s event provided 30.000 KM and in the organization attended the Academy of Art, Museum of the RS, the National Library, the Children’s Theater and the National Serbian Theater and the Serbian Writers’ Association”, said Kecman.
He pointed out that this gathering will be special in many ways because the Serbian Writers’ Association chose the top writers that with their participation in the program to celebrate the work of Peter Kočić.
Kecman stressed that in front of the school in Stričić, where will be organized a part of the program, traditional host will be David Strpce, who for decades has successfully interpreted actor Boško Đurđević.
The President of the Commission of the program, Nenad Novaković said that all the most important cultural institutions of the RS participated in the organization of this year’s assembly.
The event will end on 25th August in Stričić, when will be organized the bullfights and traditional fun parts.
Certain events will be held in the monastery Gomionica, at the park “Petar Kočić” in Banja Luka, in Mrkonjic Grad and Belgrade. Solemn academy of the “Kočić’s evening” will be held on 24th August at the Bansko yard in Banja Luka.
