Komsic about the War: Citizens – sleep peacefully

The first man of the state presidency, Zeljko Komsic, noted lasttonight that the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) can sleep peacefully. As he said, this is no longer 1991, when the JNA was on one side, and the defenders of BiH with “two bullets” on the other. He added that “there is no force that can tear this country apart.”

In an interview, he answered the question of whether he was talking to Milorad Dodik outside the sessions of the Presidency.

“We used to talk, but now it is difficult. In the past months, something could be said privately, but now I don’t have the will to talk about these things and pretend that nothing happened while he insults and plays ”tough guy”. I have no appetite to hang out with him,” pointed out Komsic.

He told that the ‘concrete plan of Dodik’s activities’ was made by the people behind the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts(SANU) Memorandum.

Dodik has support in certain circles in Belgrade, Moscow, but a specific plan of “activities” was made by some people behind the SANU Memorandum. You can recognize Dodik’s sentences when he calls Bosniaks Muslims and in that way says that they are not a people, but a religious group. He calls the state institutions common – it’s all that scheme. I know some Sarajevo professors who used to sit in the Presidency,” Komsic said, adding that Kecmanovic was Dodik’s adviser.

To the statement of the presenter Amir Zukic that a large number of BiH citizens are currently concerned, Komsic said “that this is not 1991”.

“I cannot guarantee what is in the minds of Dodik and his people. I can guarantee for myself – I will protect this country until my last breath. Based on my life experience, I can say that there is no force that can destroy this country. There were moments when BiH was torn apart, as when there was the Cvetkovic-Macek agreement, but they could not divide it. There are always enough people in this country who will not agree to that. That is a fact. Nothing can happen as long as we are ready to stand behind this country and to defend it, in a smart and wise way. This is no longer ’91 for the JNA to come to us and find us with two bullets – they can’t do anything to us,” stated Komsic and concluded that the citizens of BiH can sleep peacefully.
