Komsic: Schmidt must repeal the NARS Anti-Constitutional Law, if not then he should resign

Yesterday, the member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), Zeljko Komsic, called on the High Representative of the International Community in BiH, Christian Schmidt, to repeal the unconstitutional law on immovable property adopted by the National Assembly of Republika Srpska (NARS).

”This is the third time that anti-constitutional laws have been promulgated contrary to the decisions of the BiH Constitutional Court and contrary to the opinion of the Office of the High Representative (OHR). If the High Representative does not have the courage to repeal anti-constitutional laws, then let him resign,” Komsic called on him.

The unconstitutional law on immovable property of the RS was previously adopted by the NARS, and yesterday it was signed by the president of RS, Zeljka Cvijanovic.

Schmidt said yesterday that the unconstitutional law on immovable property, adopted by the NARS, does not affect the validity of the ban on disposing of state property and thus does not change the existing legal situation, adding that it still mustbe repealed immediately.
