The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Elmedin Konaković, spoke with the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of France, Catherine Colonna, about France’s support for Bosnia and Herzegovina on its path to the European Union.

In her conversation with Konaković, Colonna welcomed the decision to grant Bosnia and Herzegovina candidate status for EU membership.

She emphasized that this is a completely new phase of BiH’s European path.

It was pointed out that France hopes that the newly elected authorities will seriously devote themselves to implementing key reforms to bring Bosnia and Herzegovina closer to the European Union and therefore improve the quality of citizens’ lives.

Konaković said that the fact that Bosnia and Herzegovina has a country like France on its side is encouraging,  as well as that BiH can count on France’s continued support in all areas, especially the path to the European Union, and that the chance given to us should not be missed, announced Press Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
