At SARTR on 11 April at 20:00, there will be a performance of „Koncert sa orahom, čekićem i bašlijom“. Along with actress Maja Izetbegović and actor Ermin Bravo, there will be a performance by members of the vocal ensemble of the Music Academy in Sarajevo „Etnoakademik“. Selma Spahić is the director. The performance is implemented in coproduction by the Association Kontakt and SARTR.
The concert is the result of research of folk customs and traditional rural singing in B&H, which examines the impact of mentality and tradition on modern life. It asks the question how folk customs have infiltrated into modernity, is it possible to break away from stereotypes and to what extent are we determined by ancestral ativism.
