This weekend, Cazin is again dedicated to motoring. The legendary track “Krajiška zmija” hosted the participants of the 26th edition of the mountain race Cazin Grand Prix 2026.

The traditional competition, which has been held in Cazin for more than two and a half decades, this year also gathers competitors, teams and motorsport fans from several countries.

Over the years, the event has grown into one of the recognizable sports events in Cazin, but also a significant gathering on the regional motorsport scene.

The opening ceremony was attended by representatives of the local and cantonal authorities, sports associations, the organizing committee, competitors and numerous motoring enthusiasts.

The president of AMK Motorsport Cazin Samir Kržalić, the president of the Sports Association of the Una-Sana Canton Emir Dautović, the Prime Minister of the Una-Sana Canton Mustafa Ružnić and the mayor of Cazin Nermin Ogrešević addressed those present.

The honor of declaring the 26th Cazin Grand Prix open went to Mayor Nermin Ogrešević.

Ogrešević wished the competitors successful performances, but especially emphasized the importance of safety during the race.

“I wish you much success and a good ride, but above all that after the adrenaline rides on the ‘Krajiška zmija’ everyone returns safely and healthy to their families,” said Ogrešević.

The Prime Minister of USK, Mustafa Ružnić, also wished the competitors luck and success, with the wish that the race be held in a sporting spirit and safely for all participants.

He especially thanked the long-term involvement of the president of AMK Motorsport Cazin, Samir Kržalić, and his contribution to the development of this sports event.

“Krajiška zmija” trademark of Cazin motorsport
By declaring the race open, the 26th edition of the Cazin Grand Prix officially began.

“Krajiška zmija” has been a gathering place for motorists and speed lovers for 26 years, and thanks to the work of AMK Motorsport Cazin, the support of institutions and the interest of competitors and the public, the race has grown into a recognizable sports brand of Cazin and the Una-Sana Canton.

The attractive mountain track and the atmosphere created by the competitors and the audience confirm the special place of Cazin on the regional motorsport scene this year.
