The Chairperson of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Borjana Krišto, held a meeting with the President of the European Council, Antonio Costa, in Sarajevo today, to whom she extended a warm welcome, expressing satisfaction with his arrival on an official visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“This meeting represents an exceptional opportunity to, through a continuous dialogue with the highest officials of the European Union, open up all the issues that are of key importance for our country, especially those related to our European path,” said chairwoman Krišto.
During the conversation, Krišto emphasized that the visit of President Costa came at the right moment, enabling Bosnia and Herzegovina and the European Union to jointly send a clear message about the European future of our country, which remains the most important foreign policy goal of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Chairperson Krišto also pointed out the political challenges in the country, stressing the importance of the stability and functionality of institutions, which is crucial for the country’s progress towards European integration.
“As the chairperson of the Council of Ministers, I will always call for dialogue and joint finding of solutions for all issues, no matter how difficult and impermanent it may seem,” said Kristo.
This meeting confirms Bosnia and Herzegovina’s permanent commitment to the European future and determination to continue the dialogue with all European partners, with the aim of making progress as quickly as possible on the way to full membership in the European Union, announced the Council of Ministers of BiH.
