Prime Minister of Kosovo Albin Kurti met on the sidelines of the International Humanitarian Conference for Gaza in Paris with Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Željko Komšić and member of the Presidency Denis Bećirović.
Kurti thanked BiH Presidency Chairman Komšić and Presidency member Bećirović for the productive meeting.
“We discussed the importance of full implementation of the Berlin Process agreement, especially the free movement with identity cards, and explored further cooperation,” Kurti wrote on the X social network.
Kurti stated at the beginning of October that it was regrettable that Bosnia and Herzegovina did not ratify the agreement on movement with identity cards only, reached a year ago in Berlin between the countries of the Western Balkans.
He then stated that from January 2024, the citizens of Kosovo will be able to move freely to the countries of the European Union, but it is still not certain when they will be able to travel visa-free to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Apart from Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina is the only country in the region that does not recognize the independence of Kosovo and the only country in the region that has a visa regime with Kosovo.
