Analysis: the most wanted and surplus Occupations in B&H

bandicBased on the data published by the institution that are responsible for the domestic labor market, and according to the number of published public invitations, it is evident that the situation with the surplus and deficit occupations is equal for several years, said director of the Labor and Employment Agency Muamer Bandic.

Most wanted occupations in B&H with a university degree are: IT engineer, software engineer, electrical engineer, civil engineer, a pharmacist and doctor – specialist.

Most wanted occupations in B&H with a high school diploma are: salesman and waiter, engine driver, data entry operator, technician for construction materials and technician for traffic safety.

When it comes to skilled workers, the most wanted are: the installer in construction, tailor, bricklayer, welder, tanner, an asphalt pavement worker and crane operator.

Labor and Employment Agency by its competence mediates in employment of our citizens only in foreign labor markets. For the domestic labor market are competent entity institutions for employment, the Employment Bureau of Brcko District and cantonal employment services in FB&H.

“According to those institutions, surplus occupations with university degree are: criminologist, economist, lawyer, political scientist, journalist, social worker, sociologist and pedagogue. According to the number of public invitations, the most demanded are still lawyers and economists, but because of overproduction of staff, these occupations are still the most common in the records of the unemployed citizens,” said Bandic.

Surplus occupations with a high school diploma are: trader, economic technician, mechanical technician, high school graduate, traffic technician, and when it comes to skilled workers: locksmith, motor vehicle driver, salesman, hairdresser, and metalworker.
