Members of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), Milorad Dodik, Sefik Dzaferovic, and Zeljko Komsic spoke in Antalya with the Special Representative of the European Union (EU) for the Western Balkans, Miroslav Lajcak, and the meetings were separate.

BiH Presidency Chairman, Milorad Dodik, talked with Miroslav Lajcak about the current political situation in BiH and the Western Balkans.

During the meeting with Lajcak, Dodik pointed out that the dialogue of the elected political representatives in BiH is the key to success and not any international interventionism. He emphasized that many internal agreements in BiH have been destroyed by international interventionism.

Lajcak, as a former High Representative and a good connoisseur of the situation in BiH, agreed with Dodik that dialogue is the path to the future of BiH and its constituent peoples, and stressed that it is the right way to solve all problems. The interlocutors also exchanged opinions on the current political and economic situation in the Western Balkans, as well as the European path of the countries in the region.

A second statement from the BiH Presidency said that Dzaferovic and Komsic met with Lajcak on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomatic Forum.

The political situation in BiH and the dynamics of the implementation of the reforms that were envisaged in the 14 recommendations from the Opinion of the European Commission were discussed.

The importance of implementing the judgments of the European Court of Human Rights in a number of cases ordering the elimination of discrimination on ethnic grounds was emphasized.

BiH Presidency members Komsic and Dzaferovic pointed out that the EU, despite pressure, should remain consistent in its principles towards BiH.

The topic of conversation was the establishment of accountability mechanisms that would prevent blockades and obstructions in the work of the government.

Also, the crucial importance of maintaining a credible European perspective for preserving peace and stability in the Western Balkans was emphasized.

It was talked about the implementation of the Common Market Agreement signed in Sofia, within the framework of the Berlin Process, which would ensure the free movement of people and goods in the region, Klix.ba writes.
