Lana Pudar, the best Bosnian and Herzegovinian (BiH) swimmer, has begun her NCAA career in the United States (U.S.) in an excellent way and made a winning debut for the University of Virginia.
This was stated by the “Orka” Water Sports Club, noting that Lana, competing for the University of Virginia – the current champion and the most successful women’s university swimming team in the U.S. – had her first appearance in the 200-yard butterfly event, where she celebrated first place with a time of 1:56.54.
This competition was held within the so-called “dual meet” format, which represents a direct matchup between two university teams, in which each individual result is scored for the overall team placement.
“In this encounter, the University of Virginia achieved a convincing victory over the University of North Carolina with a result of 203-90. This is also the beginning of the regular NCAA season, in which Lana will have the opportunity to compete against the strongest U.S. teams, additionally gain experience, and improve in top conditions,” it says in the announcement of the “Orka” Water Sports Club.
They congratulated Lana on a great start and wished her a successful continuation of the season.
