A large fire broke out at the “Arizona” market in Brčko, and according to initial information, a hall containing textile goods was completely burned down.

The fire was reported to the Brčko District Police of BiH at 6:37 p.m., and members of the Professional Firefighting Unit and police officers were immediately dispatched to the scene.

The fire has been localized, and according to initial information, no one was injured. The cause of the fire will be known after the investigation is completed, said Dževida Hukičević, spokesperson for the Brčko District Police of BiH.

“The police are taking all necessary measures and actions to establish all the facts and circumstances of the aforementioned event,” Hukičević emphasized.

As a reminder, the “Arizona” market has previously been hit by fire. In 2019, a large fire broke out in which a number of buildings burned down, while the concrete stands and those at the end of the market remained undamaged.

Even earlier, in 2016, the market was affected by a big fire in which almost 500 stalls were destroyed.
