Football icons Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo are set to clash in Saudi Arabia in February 2024, potentially marking their final encounter, Turki Al-Sheikh, head of the Kingdom’s General Entertainment Authority, announced on Tuesday.
Al-Sheikh announced through a social media post that Riyadh Season, in collaboration with Messi’s current club, Inter Miami CF, has reached an agreement to host the Riyadh Season Cup matches in the Saudi capital as a highlight of Riyadh Season activities.
The upcoming tournament, structured in a league format, will feature three teams: Al Hilal, Ronaldo’s Al Nassr, and Messi’s Inter Miami. Al Hilal and Al Nassr are Riyadh’s two biggest clubs.
