The final preparations for New Year’s “Tropical Night in Sarajevo” are towards the end.
New Year’s Eve in the capital city of B&H has been designed in the context of the qualification of the B&H football representation at the World Cup, which will be organized at the Square of Children in Sarajevo and where many B&H musicians will perform.
The arrival of the New Year will be marked exactly at midnight by fireworks from the building “Feroelektra” on Mojmilo.
At midnight, the Mayor of Sarajevo Ivo Komšić will send to citizens a New Year’s message, and after midnight he will visit the department of Obstetrics of the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo and the General Hospital “Prim. dr. Abdulah Nakaš”, where hewill visit the first born babies on New Year’s.
The Deputy Mayor will visit the professional fire brigade of Canton Sarajevo, the first police department of the Ministry of Internal affairs of Canton Sarajevo and the Institute for emergency medical services of Canton Sarajevo.
135 security guards will be hired to help the members of the Ministry of Internal affairs of Canton Sarajevo in ensuring the safety of all the citizens at New Year’s Eve.
All the citizens who can not be at the Square of children in Sarajevo center will have the opportunity to watch the direct transmission of the entire New Year’s program on Face TV, which will start at 21:00 and last until 01:00
