Lazar Mutlak charged of War Crimes in Gorazde

Prosecutor of the Special Department for War Crimes has issued an Indictment against Lazar Mutlak aka Lazo, born in 1959 in Goražde.

This accused person is charged with using force and threats to life to rape and sexually abuse a Bosniak woman during the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina, namely on 25 May 1992 in the area of Goražde Municipality, while the accused was a member of the Staff of the Territorial Defence of Srpsko Goražde, all of which left severe and permanent physical and mental consequences on the victim.

The aforementioned accused is charged with the commission of the criminal offense of War Crimes against Civilians, as referred to in Article 173, paragraph 1, item e) in conjunction with Article 180, paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Indictment has been forwarded to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina for confirmation.
