Member of the leadership of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and candidate for president/vice president of FBiH Refik Lendo said that the decision of Lidija Bradara and Igor Stojanović to appoint the president without agreement with him is unconstitutional, unenforceable and unacceptable because it completely ignores the will of the elected representatives of the Bosniak people.
“Despite my invitation to the meeting on Friday this week, which my colleagues Lidija Bradara and Igor Stojanović initially accepted, they held a meeting today without a formal invitation, and therefore without my presence. At that meeting, colleagues Bradara and Stojanović, without consultation and agreement with me, decided that Bradara should be appointed as the president of FBiH. It is an unconstitutional and unenforceable decision because two candidates for the president/vice presidents of the FBiH cannot decide on the appointment of the president without agreement with the third, given that the Constitution of the FBiH clearly states that this decision is made by agreement of all three elected candidates,” said Lendo.
He points out that the act of making any decisions in which the will of the elected representatives of the Bosniak people is completely ignored is unacceptable and will not pass.
He called on his colleagues to stop with, as he states, irrational and unproductive behavior, and the leaders of the parties that offered candidates for president/vice presidents of the FBiH as indispensable factors in the process of forming the government to meet as soon as possible and reach a political agreement so that the process of the formation of a new convocation of FBiH Government is completed.
