We live in a Time when the Truth must be distinguished from Delusions and Lies

reis“This is a time when the truth must be distinguished from delusions and lies,” said Reis-ul-ulema of the Islamic Community in BiH, Husein ef. Kavazovic, who addressed many believers at the central ceremony of marking the 27th night of Ramadan, Laylat al-Qadr, in Bey’s Mosque in Sarajevo.

Muslims around the world marked the 27th night of the holy month of Ramadan, Laylat al Qadr, as one of the most important and special nights of the year. Revelation of the Qur’an started in that night and the first words to the Prophet Muhamed p.b.u.h. were “Iqra – learn”.

“This is the night when the angels are coming down to Earth with the permission of the Almighty, everything gets resolved and there is peace in this night until dawn. This is the night to which anything that Allah has created in this world cannot be compared. The angels in this night pray to Allah s.w.t. to accept fasting, worship and prayers of believers, “said Kavazovic.

He said that we are today witnesses of our hard destinies and those of us who have lost their faith, reason, morality, and who are far away from the words of Allah.

“Those who should make people happy are bringing the pain and sadness in the hearts of Muslims. This is the night when we should ask Allah to guide them to the right path, and to help us on the path of good, and to be the Judge between them and us. This is a time when we must distinguish the truth from delusions and lies,” said Kavazovic.

Muslims marked the Laylat al Qadr with reciting of the Qur’an, zikr, spiritual songs and appropriate lectures. They pray for forgiveness of their sins and a blessing on both worlds, because Laylat al-Qadr is the night with greatest value, recognition, the night of blessings and the greatest gifts.

Mensur ef. Malkic, the first Imam of Bey’s Mosque, recited the prayer for Laylat al Qadr at the central event.
