The play Ljupaf at Kamerni Theatre 55 was made by US actor, director and professor Ronald Rand. The premiere took place in in October 2013, and until now has been shown in B&H and theatres in the region, where it was warmly embraced by the public and critics. In this great comedy, Muhamed Hadžović Moamer Kasumović and Zana Marjanović had starring roles. Director Rand said about the play: ‘’I love to laugh, and Murray Schisgal wrote a very funny piece that I laughed to, that we laugh to and laugh about’’.
How can this comedy, which takes place in the 1960’s in Brooklyn, New York, can it touch our lives today? Simply: because we all love to laugh and we all want to feel love. Also, Ljupaf launches a series of questions on life: What is love? How to find it? And when we find it, how to hold on to it in this world, which sometimes seems to be completely upside down?
On New Year’s eve, Ljupaf had its premiere in front of a full audience at Koper Theatre, in Slovenia.
The play Ljupaf will take place at Kamerni Theatre 55 on 10 and 13 March at 20:00.
