The 449th traditional jumps from the Old Bridge have been held in Mostar. A favorite summer event in the city on the Neretva this time has again attracted, to the plateau beneath the Old Bridge, a larger number of Mostar’s citizens, Bosnian citizens, including extreme sports and Neretva enthusiasts who witnessed the brave jumps of participants from Mostar, B&H, and the region.

After the first qualifying round, ten jumpers and divers from both categories qualified to the next, final round. The winner in the diving category was, as expected, Lorens Listo who left Kemal Fazlić and Vedad Bašić behind.

In the jumping category, Adis Boškailo won first place, Igor Kazić second, and Admir Delić  third.

In the revue during the break between the two rounds of jumps, the veteran jumpers performed, treating the attending spectators with several jumps.

The jumpers and divers were evaluated by the jury consisting of Emir Balic, Mirsad – Deda Pasic, Alica Jakirović, Enver Novakovic and Sasa Lukic.

A total of 50 divers and jumpers participated, 28 of which dived and 22 who jumped. This year as well, the jumps included a number of additional activities, among which was drinking coffee from the largest džezva in the world, a traditional tour in the ancient game of backgammon, with a flare show that was to be held last night at the Old Bridge. The organizers said that they are satisfied with this year’s event, as well as with the response of jumpers.

In less than three weeks, the World Cup in high-altitude diving is scheduled to be held on the Old Bridge, which will be highlighted by the world’s best high-altitude divers.
