Lothar Von Berks Castle soon to be renovated with Two Million BAM

The castle of Lothar Von Berks, located in the Old Town of Ostrozac, will soon be renovated after the Government of the Una-Sana Canton allocated 2 million BAM for this project.

The tourist attraction and national monument was left. The premises of the castle have long been dangerous for movement, so the courtyard in front of the castle was the only attraction to visit.

However, that will be a thing of the past, given that the Government of the Una-Sana Canton adopted a decision on the 24th session for a capital grant in the amount of 2 million BAM for the project to restore the castle as part of the national monument Old Town Ostrožac.

Berks Castle in Ostrozac is on the list of National Monuments of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Thousands of visitors visit it every year, but they entered the castle at their own risk because it is in a dilapidated state.

National monuments throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina are in a dilapidated state, and any renovation cannot be done without the consent of the institute. Because of this, the history of our country, at least in terms of construction, is de facto falling apart.

In an earlier interview with Klix.ba, the director of the Public Enterprise Center for Culture and Tourism in Cazin, Ermin Beganović, said that it was long past time for monuments of this type to be included in the development plans of the state and to be systematically supported until complete sanction and conservation.

However, this national monument never ceases to delight tourists who discover new dimensions and learn new stories about the history of the creation and construction of this complex every time they come, Klix.ba reports.
