Lucia Kimani without a Medal in Rio Marathon Race

Lucia Kimani rtvslon.baThe best BiH female athlete Lucia Kimani represented Bosnia and Herzegovina in the marathon race in Rio.

Lucia Mwihaki Kimani arrived to the end line almost half an hour after the winning competitors. During the race, Kimani significantly lagged behind the athletes that won the race.

The Kenyan Jemima Jelagat Sumgong won the golden medal, while the contestant from Bahrain Eunice Jepkirui Kirwa won the silver medal. World champion Mare Dibaba won the third place and the bronze medal.

One hundred and fifty best female athletes of the world participated in the marathon race on the streets of Rio de Janeiro in the length of 42 kilometers. The race lasted for two and a half hours.

In the competition of record-breaking 157 marathoners from 80 countries, the primary aim was to run the entire race.
