The Minister of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska (RS), Dragan Lukac, said that the ”Trail” (”Staza”) operation had been prepared for a long time and that a certain number of people who had been arrested had been under measures for a long time. They fell because of the Sky application. Lukac reveals that this application was used by more than 2.000 citizens in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) and threatened: ”Surrender. Sooner or later we will come after you!”

”Certain criminals from that group used the Sky app. 19 people were arrested, and we were looking for several more people who are not in BiH, and a warrant will be issued for them. We continue to fight organized crime. These are serious criminal groups that work with large quantities of drugs. We used international assistance here because their contacts go beyond BiH,” said Lukac.

He said that he would continue with such actions because there are people who can be connected with the murders in BiH and outside our country, and they cooperate with many foreign countries and earn large amounts of money.

”Recently, we have access to a lot of information that we have not had so far. We made certain arrests based on applications that criminals used and thought were protected. The Sky application has been used for more than 10 years, and according to our data, about 2.000 people in BiH have used this application, which is a huge number,” Lukac mentioned.

He stated that this application was mostly used in France, Belgium, and the Netherlands. Europol deciphered and shared the data with the RS Ministry of Internal Affairs and other police agencies.

Furthermore, he added, that many drugs ended up in BiH and that the drugs were used by children, and that they could not be forgiven for that. He also noted that this application will lead to solving the murders that were committed in BiH and abroad.

”They have become important for both Europol and Interpol. This will not be prevented or stopped. There will be more arrests in the coming period. Unfortunately, members of various police agencies also appear there. They will not be forgiven,” Lukac concluded.
