The President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, said that saboteurs were detained in the western part of the country, the state news agency Belta reported.
The report said Lukashenko said the West and the Belarusian opposition abroad wanted to see the “defeat” of Russia in Ukraine.
He specified that the saboteurs were detained not far from the Ukrainian border and that they were throwing explosives across the border for sabotage in Russia.
Lukashenko added that the anti-terrorist operation has ended and that there are citizens of Belarus among those detained.
