Journalist and Conservative activist from MAGA circles Evi Kokalari, who particularly criticized lobbying from Republika Srpska in the United States, revealed that the August visit of Katie Wiles and Chris LaCivita to Republika Srpska was paid for by Telekom Srbija.
“Sources tell me that Telekom Srbija paid for Katie Wiles and Chris LaCivita’s trip to Republika Srpska last August. If confirmed, that means the Serbian government paid for the trip,” Kokalari posted.
She stated that LaCivita runs MAGA Inc. (the fundraising organization for Trump’s campaign and allies), as well as the Republican campaign, while traveling abroad at the expense of the Serbian government. She wondered how it didn’t raise any problems.
“@ContlStrategy told @CBSNews on Thursday that Wiles took a mid-August business trip for another Continental Strategy client. Telekom Srbija is a Continental Strategy client, and from January to September 2026, it paid Continental $541,936. However, I have some questions: Why would Telekom Srbija pay for these trips to Republika Srpska? And why does Republika Srpska show a separate account with only a $35,000 –per-month lobbying arrangement with Continental? Was this to make it harder for us to find the details?” Kokalari asked.
As a reminder, the lobbying for Republika Srpska by Katie Wiles, daughter of White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, alongside Chris LaCivita’s activities during the US election campaign caused a major scandal in the US, prompting even Trump to speak out.
The two closest political advisors of the US President, Donald Trump, LaCivita and James Blair, after it was revealed that they worked for the Government of Republika Srpska ahead of the elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina, found themselves under fire from their own party, and Trump publicly distanced himself from them.
“This opened the door. The knives are completely out for these two,” a person close to the White House told Politico, as reported by the American portal in its morning Playbook edition.
The New York Times started the affair when it reported that LaCivita and Blair stayed in Republika Srpska and advised the entity’s government ahead of the October 4 general elections. According to the sources for that newspaper, each one of them received several hundred thousand dollars for the job. The money was paid through the Washington-based law firm hired by the RS Government.
The NYT stated that since the beginning of last year, the Government of Republika Srpska has paid more than four million dollars to lobbyists connected to Trump, as seen from filings with the US Department of Justice, Klix.ba writes.
