In a letter to the Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denis Bećirović, Hungarian Prime Minister Péter Magyar expressed his belief that the friendship between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Hungary will continue to grow in the coming period.

“On behalf of the Hungarian people and on my own behalf, I would like to express my sincere gratitude for your kind letter of congratulations on the outcome of the elections held on April 12, 2026,” Magyar wrote.

He added that they are committed to deepening cooperation in all areas, with the aim of strengthening bilateral relations and contributing to the stability of the Western Balkans.

“To this end, Hungary will pursue a pragmatic foreign policy based on respect, built on mutual trust and partnership with all its partners,” the Hungarian Prime Minister’s letter states.

“Please accept my deepest respect,” the letter concludes.
