Police officers of the Trebinje Police Department are carrying out a large-scale operational operation aimed at suppressing and detecting criminal acts in the field of drug abuse.
So far, four people have been arrested and a large quantity of herbaceous plant matter, which by its morphological characteristics is associated with the narcotic drug marijuana, has been seized. During the searches, which are being conducted at several locations in the Trebinje Police Department, approximately 93 kilograms of marijuana were found hidden in sports bags in the trunk of a car.
Three of the four arrested persons are citizens of Montenegro. The suspects tried to escape, but police officers managed to quickly arrest them.
All activities are being conducted under the supervision of the Trebinje District Public Prosecutor’s Office. The searches are still ongoing.
