The management of Mostar’s Aluminium smelter has handed over layoffs to 362 workers, that is, to all remaining workers of the bankrupt giant.

As confirmed for Hina news portal on Tuesday from Aluminij company, the dismissals were handed over to all workers, but with different notice periods.

The reason is that the remaining workers would be able to complete the backlog, it was explained.

The layoff decisions had to be concluded by the end of 2019 to allow all workers to pay severance pay. After January 31, 2020, several workers will be engaged in new contracts in the field of high voltage and high voltage maintenance.

The outgoing administration continued negotiations with an Israeli-Chinese group led by MT Abraham of Tel Aviv, Vijesti.ba news portal reported.
