Association of parents of children with autism (URDAS) whose vision is dignified and fulfilled life of a person with autism will for the sixth time mark the adoption of UN Resolution which postulates that 2 April is the World Autism Awareness Day.

Concerning the geographically equally distributed Autistic Spectrum Disorder, and based on the latest reports of health ministries from most of countries (the USA, the UK) it is considered that almost 1% of population has some form of disorder from the Autistic Spectrum.

In BiH there is no date base for diagnosing, and current health, education and social system is absolutely inadequate.

World Autism Awareness Day will be marked on Tuesday, 2 April from 12 to 14 hours in front of Sarajevo Cathedral, and there will be a stand with leaflets.

Partner of this year’s manifestation is a NGO Muslim Aid with representative bodies in Sarajevo which donated a part of material that informs about autism.
