The fifth competition of skippers – rafting guides was organized in Bihac. Within that event were organized jumps into Una River from the platform placed in Midzica Street.

The event that is slowly becoming a tradition gathered a large number of masters of wild waters.

The competition took place on a waterfall in the city center, right across the famous beach “Beton” in Bihac, and it includes skills and techniques of rafting, fast turning of raft, swimming after boats, climbing, turning, returning and redirection.

“We started with this competition five years ago and our main aim was the promotion of rafting and skipper skills in order to get people from Bihac and Una-Sana Canton to join our club and underwent skipper training so that tourists that are coming to Una-Sana Canton can safely sail over Una River and enjoy all of its beauty. A total of 20 competitors came to this year’s competition. Also, this is the competition for the most serious competitors,” said Mersad Coralic, the organizer of this competition.

The general sponsor of the competition is the City of Bihac, the mayor Suhret Fazlic, the sponsor is the National Park Una, and the first three places received cash prizes.

The first place and a cash-prize of 300 BAM went to Sefik Jasic. Second place and cash-prize of 200 BAM went to Haris Tutic, and the third place and 100 BAM went to Adis Topcagic.
