Medvedev threatened a Nuclear Attack on Washington, London, Kyiv and Berlin

Dmitry Medvedev, the deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council, today threatened that Russia will use nuclear weapons against the US, UK, Germany and Ukraine if Moscow loses all occupied Ukrainian territories.

Medvedev, who is also a former president of Russia, has repeatedly threatened to use nuclear weapons, but so far the threats have not come true. His critics say his statements are a bluff, not Russia’s true plans, and are intended to scare the West into making concessions.

Medvedev previously presented himself as a liberal, but has become one of Russia’s most aggressive pro-war advocates since the 2022 invasion of Ukraine began.

“Attempts to restore the borders of Russia from 1991 will lead to only one thing – a global war with Western countries using our entire strategic (nuclear) arsenal against Kiev, Berlin, London and Washington. And against all other beautiful historical places that have long been included in the flying targets of our nuclear triad,” Medvedev said.

In the fall of 2022, Russia annexed four Ukrainian regions – Zaporozhye, Donetsk, Lugansk and Kherson – after referendums were held in the occupied parts of these regions.

In his latest post, Medvedev said that Russia’s potential defeat in the war against Ukraine and the “disintegration of the country” could trigger a nuclear war.

Medvedev, a close ally of Putin, has regularly threatened Ukraine and NATO with nuclear attack. However, he was ridiculed because his numerous nuclear threats did not result in any action.
In May 2022, he said that by sending weapons and training Ukrainian soldiers, NATO “increases the likelihood of direct and open conflict between NATO and Russia.”

Since then, thousands of Ukrainian soldiers have been trained in NATO countries, and the allies have supplied a variety of weapons, including long-range missiles, main battle tanks and artillery systems, Klix.ba writes.
