Meeting of Minister and Transport Representatives in Sarajevo

The Minister of Communications and Transport of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Edin Forto, will meet with representatives of transport companies today to discuss the current issues facing domestic freight transport companies.

A session of the Board of Directors has been announced for May 9th, at which, if there is no progress in resolving the problem, a decision will be made on the blockades of border crossings and customs terminals.

As a reminder, transport companies are demanding a moratorium on Rule 90/180 – Protection of BiH drivers from bans on entry into the EU, the return of excise duties, according to the Montenegrin model, a reduction in delays at borders, i.e. the digitalization of customs and border procedures, and administrative relief from business costs, i.e. stopping constant changes to regulations, analysis and elimination of unnecessary bureaucratic burdens.
